Biography
I am a lifelong resident of Gainesville and I have practiced exclusively criminal defense since I left the State Attorney's Office in 2001. I am a former prosecutor and past president of the Florida Association of Crime Defense Lawyers. The experience I gained on "the other side" of criminal law gives me a considerable advantage now as a defense attorney. When handling a case, I always ask myself, "If I were the prosecutor, could I convict this person? Would I want to convict them?" If I know how I would successfully prosecute a case, I can recognize the area(s) of weakness to build my defense around."
I have represented hundreds of people over the years and I love what I do. Getting my clients the best result possible for their case is my #1 goal and that's exactly what I fight for every day.
