Getting arrested is terrifying. I had never gotten into any legal trouble previously, so I asked a lot of questions. Mr. Hines was understanding, helpful, and extremely informative. He took the time to explain to me, step by step, what legal terms meant, what their implications were, and what all t...he possibilities of my situation were. He also took a great deal of time to listen to me tell the whole story and listen to my concerns. He was fantastic with communication. Every time I called, he either answered or called back within minutes. Every email was responded to almost immediately with thoughtful answers. He was always available when I dropped by the office, and became someone who I was glad I had on my team. I also appreciated that he wasn't overconfident and overly optimistic; he was realistic. Under a bizarre set of circumstances, I was facing felony charges, and he explained that we could probably knock those down to a misdemeanor, but that it was extremely possible to be convicted of the misdemeanor, based on my case, evidence, and what had been told to law enforcement. It was nice to know what I was up against. Mr. Hines went above and beyond, getting to know me as a person, advising me to do things voluntarily like seek counseling, to show that I personally was taking an initiative to better myself, and even wrote a letter to a prospective employer explaining the situation while the case was still pending. He also gave constructive advice, explaining what I did wrong in speaking with the police. The charges ended up being dropped, thanks to Mr. Hines, and he proceeded to handle my expungement at no extra charge. Working with him was a breeze, and made a stressful situation much, much easier.

Michael Hines did an exceptional job representing our son. He visited him during our son's incarceration on the same day we called, and kept in touch with us during the legal process.
