Richard Scott Johnson

Richard S. Johnson guides clients through every phase of real estate, development and corporate business transactions. A Florida Supreme Court–certified Circuit Civil Mediator, he counsels two local banks and acts as foreclosure and collections counsel for institutional lenders. As general counsel to two nonpublic companies, he directs deals for a leading restaurant franchise and a major real estate developer, handling finance, leasing, acquisitions and employment matters. Mr. Johnson drafts complex contracts for technical firms, signs title commitments and conducts closings. He also implements Regulation D and private placement financings, advises as developer and community development district counsel on bond-backed infrastructure, and mediates hurricane-loss and foreclosure disputes with the Florida Department of Financial Services.
