Jennifer Byrom

I first went to Byrom Law Firm in 2012 after a domestic violence incident. Jennifer Byrom took charge immediately with my case and handled it with the upmost professionalism. At our first hearing she made sure that my children and I were safe and gave sound advice about how to move forward with the... divorce and child custody proceedings. Jennifer Byrom stayed the course with this part of my case. It had many twists and turns and Ms. Byrom along with her staff worked meticulously for an optimal outcome. I highly recommend her and feel blessed to have her handle my case.

I do not do a lot of reviews, but felt like I should here. Jennifer did a wonderful job advising me on my divorce. My wife and I wanted to do an uncontested divorce, and at one point it became a bit contentious, and we were having a hard time agreeing on everything. I contacted Jennifer on the advice... of a friend, and she gave me nothing but good guidance. She could have easily advised me to fight the divorce, but instead she stressed how important it was to try and work it out between my wife and I. So even though she could have billed me considerably more, she pushed me in the direction that was best for me, and did not try to "get more money" from me. I genuinely recommend her to anyone who wants good advice on how to best handle their divorce.

To say that Jennifer Byrom and her staff are highly qualified and compassionate is an understatement. I have waited a year to write this review so that I could be objective and say that our entire dealing was over with before giving our experience and opinion. We presented Ms. Byrom and her staff wi...th an impossible task; a private adoption with 7 days notice before birth and no homestudy completed and no prior documented attempts at adoption. She was pragmatic but positive and laid out the path for us; at every step she and her staff were there for us; even answering her cell phone after hours to comfort us and assure that we were doing everything correct. She and her amazing Paralegal, Penny Miller came to the hospital to assist with paperwork and complete the process on a Sunday Afternoon. Let's face it; attorneys are expensive; they provide a function and they should be compensated for it. However at no time did we feel like we were being swindled or taken to the cleaners. Bills were always clear and it was obvious that they were simply being compensated for the work they completed. They worked with us on our payments and we were able to finalize our son's adoption a little bit more than three months after he was born. We made it a point to get pictures with all the ladies at the office, because they had become more than just people to us; they were family and part of our son's story we wanted him to know about all the sweet people who helped him become ours one day! If you are in need of an attorney who knows the adoption process in and out and who will get things done and quickly, Jennifer Byrom is the one to use!! If

I would never use her again. Long story short... I went to her for a divorce. Paralegal was great, did all the work. The paralegal and I had put together a good game plan for the mediation. Jennifer Byrom came to the mediation without the paralegal and the game plan went out the window. I walked ...out with my head spinning and a non-modifiable alimony which gives my ex more than 70% of my pay (after taxes), and much more. Right afterwards, my ex got a job, she cohabitates with her fiancé, and she gets my alimony. I cant do anything about it because of the "non-modifiable' statement. Yes, I blame myself for not doing better. But, I had never been through a divorce, I didn't know all the options, etc, so I essentially put all my faith and trust in an 'expert", someone who has been doing this for many many years. In the end, I got screwed, but she sure got paid!
