Highly Recommend

I hired this attorney to take care of a situation of where I had back payments with my HOA and was in fear of losing my home. Mr. Wilhelm negotiated an affordable payback plan and saved me from a foreclosure. I was unable to afford hiring another attorney due to already being behind, so Mr. Wilhelm w...orked out a payment plan that I could afford. I am now caught up with my payments and would recommend Mr. Wilhelm to others in my position.

Do Not Trust This Man

In short he is a vulture that apparently likes to take people's money when they are/were already struggling. He apparently thinks he is someone special in that he can judge them for being in default when most people do not just stop paying on a house they have paid a note on for more than 12 years u...nless there is a reason. I have medical issues that caused our default and after trying to work with the mortgage company we had no choice but to hire an attorney. He was recommended by the service officer serving our forclosure notice. I am convinced he pays him to recommend him since he stated he was the "only one that could help us" because all of the "other attorneys are working with the mortgage companies". There is no communication, he does exactly as all of the other reviews state he does. He takes people's money and does absolutely nothing for them. We paid him for three years all the while assuming that he was doing work on our case to help us. In the end he gave our house to the mortgage company and has not sent paperwork or emails as requested or as he stated he would.

Review

This attorney should not practice the law anymore. I payed him $3,000.00 to file an represent me and to file an affidavit on my behalf as i was not in default at all. Instead, he set me up with the plaintiff attorney and set up a date to foreclosure on my property without my knowledge and my approval.... I don't think he works for people, I think he's working against people helping the palitiff ( bank ) indirectly! He should loose his license! He put my property in foreclosure when I'm not in default.

Review

We payed this lawyer for about 4 years to help with our foreclosure. At initial meeting he seemed so in tune with what we needed done. Never once called us to update about what was going on, kept us in the dark. Only filed one thing on the foreclosure and it wasn't even what we discussed doing. Calle...d us and said we had 24 hours to give him 2500.00. Wouldn't tell us why he needed it. Used scare tactics, berated us and treated us like we were nothing. When we said we didn't have the money he actually suggested we got to AL and get a car title loan!! Told us he was going to garnish our wages if we didn't give him the money in 24 hours. When we told him we didn't have it he just cut off all communication and the next day one of his associates left a message that they had settled with our mortgage company. We were supposed to be in some program, but have received nothing from Mr. Wilhelm or his law firm in regards to anything. We contacted the mortgage co. to ask about finalization and the program and they said all correspondence is going to your lawyer. Contacted Mr. Wilhelm office and have still never heard anything. So we are going through foreclosure but totally lost and confused because Mr. Wilhelm is still getting all of the info and not passing it on!! He also told use we owned him money (he quit giving receipts about a year in to us paying him) but when we figured it all up we had actually given him more money than we should have. This is a condensed version of all that he did (or should we say didn't do). He promised to save our home but never did anything to save it and then accepted a deal and hasn't communicated with us since. Absolutely the worst lawyer/attorney ever. If you want to save your home just file bankruptcy, something Mr. Wilhelm could have told us to do instead of suggesting a car title loan. He and his associates are the most arrogant, rude, condescending people I have ever met. They do not work for their clients but for their own personal gain. Please find someone else to represent you, you will be much better off.

Great Attorney!

Great attorney! Aggressively protected my rights, saved my home and got me a loan modification at a rate I could afford. I would recommend him to anyone. If you're served with a foreclosure lawsuit, call Mr. Wilhelm!
