also known as Jon DuBose, John DuBose
I have practiced law in Florida since late 1983. At the beginning of my career after a short stint in private practice, I worked for two years as a Public Defender, before re-opening my law firm. Since then, I have fought insurance companies for insureds who have been denied claims for Home Owners and Long-Term Care Insurance claims and compassionately defended clients charged with misdemeanors and serious felonies. I have helped parents plan their estates by listening to their needs and advising them what they need to do and drafting the necessary legal documents according to their needs. As necessary, I draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, living wills and health care surrogates. Probate is an area of my practice as well. Probate establishes a beneficiary's legal right to certain property passing to the beneficiary from the dceased's estate against the potential conflicting claims of creditors or from other beneficiaries.
For the fifteen-plus years prior to January 2021, I worked as a Prosecutor for the State Attorney's Office in the First Judicial Circuit, with nine of those years serving as a Special Prosecutor of White Collar Crimes. Between private law practice and my service as an attorney for the State of Florida, I have tried well over one hundred jury trials.
The llegal services that I provide are: Probate, Wills and Trusts, Criminal Defense with an emphasis on White Collar Crime Defense, and representation of insureds with Home-Owner Insurance claims. I am honest, experienced and I fight for my clients. I offer services in Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa a free 30 minute consultation by Facetime, Zoom or in-person, depending on the prevailing status of Covid-19..

I had some questions and Mr. DuBose filled me in on what I need to know. Although they were not the answers that I wanted to hear, he did not sugarcoat anything and will probably save me a ton of money with his honest assessment. I would recommend him to anyone who needs an attorney.

John was incredibly unprofessional. He repeatedly threatened me as a client, and was incredibly condescending. I would never hire him again.
I'm sorry you had a bad experience with my firm. I appreciate your feedback. This matter does not sound familiar, and we strive for the utmost client satisfaction in every case. I certainly want to hear if a client is unhappy about something. Please contact me directly to discuss your specific concerns and I will try to make things right. I am a little confused though, because for the past almost sixteen years ending January 2021 which encompassed your 2014 review, I worked as an Assistant State Attorney for State Attorney William Eddins. My client during that time was solely the State of Florida. Please feel free to reach out to me and let me see how I can best help you.
