Biography
Maureen has been actively involved in criminal trial law for the past 32 years. She is licensed to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States of America, a distinction held by very few criminal defense attorneys in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties, and has been recognized as a Florida Bar Criminal Trial Board Certified attorney since 1990.
As of August 2015, Maureen is the only female certified in criminal trial for the First Judicial Circuit, which encompasses Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa & Walton counties. Less than one percent of eligible Florida attorneys are board certified in criminal trial law.
The Board of Legal Specialization and Education has consistently re-certified her expert credentials in 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, and 2015.
Since becoming a sole practitioner in January 2014, Maureen focuses 100 percent on criminal defense. This includes juvenile defense, domestic violence and expungements.
