If you aren’t paying, don’t expect him or his office to care or communicate AT ALL!!

I wish I got the attorney reflected in his more recent reviews but unfortunately, I did not. In fact, despite numerous attempts to reach him, multiple messages left on voicemail and with his paralegals, emails, and a complaint filled with the bar, over the last year I’ve not been able to speak with t...his attorney at all. Nearly all information (INCLUDING MY APPEAL HAS BEEN DISMISSED!) had to be found by me. It seems if anyone referred to his practice by the bar or if you have the unfortunate luck of having him assigned to your case by the courts, he absolutely does not care about you, your case, or any consequences that arise from his poor performance. If you are reading this, PLEASE find another attorney!!

Waste of time!!

I had several phone consultations with this attorney about the same case. He couldn’t remember the info I had given him when we spoke each time. He lost his notes that he had written during the consultations. He gave me a price of $5,000 retainer and I agreed. He said his legal asst would contact me ...for an agreement. After I did not hear anything for a week, I contacted their office and Kathryn responded with they are short staffed and unable to take our case. Kathryn referred me to another attorney that was not even practicing the type of law we needed from an attorney. I do not recommend wasting your time with this attorney for family law or adoption. He should have never agreed to take my case, give me an amount then tell his legal asst to contact me & tell me something different than he had. By the way, his office isn’t as busy as they made it seem. I checked into this and he took on several cases after mine that were similar. He was shady and dishonest, instead of being up front and telling me he didn’t think he could handle it or that he didn’t think we would win. By the way- we did win, so his loss!

Bad Taste of Lawyer

On March 28th, 2022, paid consult fee $25. to give advice on a family law case. After explaining to Atty Scott what the situation was about he stated that he can handle the case, normally charges $3500, but will get Kathryn to send over a contract showing down payment. I was referred by Legal service...s of Fl, several calls were place only to go straight to voice mail and never got a return phone call. On April 6th,2022 less than 3 days left to file a motion, Kathryn calls and once I question about Atty Scott, she made up lame excuses then stated that they would have to drop everything their doing to rush with this case and he was unaware and confused that I needed his help, Kathryn stated to me to seek legal counsel elsewhere. I will definitely get someone else. I would not spend any funds on an atty that doesn't have the best interest of his future client. I can't use his services and definitely will seek someone else that won't wait to the last minute to get something done.

Still waiting for initial call back.

Initiated contact on October 26, 2021. Have not heard anything since I called the office when he or anyone from his office called. I was told that he was busy with depositions etc. and would call me. I'm still waiting.

Terrible Attourney

This attorney has no resect for people and has called my wife a puppet and has never once exercised my rights to a attorney. After have been appointed this attorney by the state, I was never once contacted by attorney Chris Scott in over a year period while been appointed him by the state, and nearly... lost my children due to his lack of care or communication. I was fighting a dependency case for my two girls and was held illegally in the county jail for Contracting without a license for a year. I had been incarcerated the entire time illegally and he never once came to see me to give me any updates on my court dates, legal documents, or legal issues that were happening to my child. My daughter was bit by a Boxer at her temporary housing foster parent, and no one informed me of this incident. They even moved my children without letting me know. I have filed a complaint with the Florida Bar and took over two days to gather evidence and witness to get it mailed out. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!!! He had little respect for my family and would most likely do the same to yours. I suggest if you get into a situation that calls for a attorney, ick one who has care, sympathy, and is willing to do up and beyond what it takes to help you win your case legally.
