Gena Danielle Fournier

I was born in Miami, Florida but moved to Boston, Georgia as a young girl where I lived until I graduated from Central High School (now Thomas County Central High).   I attended and graduated with a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Colorado and went on to graduate cum laude with a law degree from the University of Miami, School of Law.  

I am licensed and have practiced in Pennsylvania and Florida.  In 2008, relocated from Northeastern Pennsylvania to Tallahassee, Florida.  I have been practicing here since 2008.  I have been as Managing Member of Fournier Law since it’s inception but, prior to that, as Managing Member of Fournier, Norris, & Wagner, PLLC.    

For the last several years, my legal practice has focused predominantly on complex family law matters.  These types of cases are frequently emotionally charged involve those individuals we care most about - our children and significant others.  They also involve the things we care most about - our homes and livelihoods.

Because I value both, I work diligently to help our clients through these difficult times by not only providing legal assistance but, frequently, helping our clients establish a strategy for their new norm - their future.  Sometimes it is as simple as providing a shoulder to cry on and sometimes it is as difficult and recommending drug and alcohol treatment or mental health counseling.  I believe my role as attorney and counselor is to think outside the box to be an advocate for my clients, to guide them through the process, and to preserve what matters most to them.
