Jeremy C. Smith

Jeremy Smith was born and raised in small town Tarkio, MO where he graduated high school in 2001. He then attended Northwest Missouri State University until 2003. He then transferred to Missouri State University (formerly known as Southwest Missouri State University), where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Management. From 2006 – 2011, Jeremy started and successfully grew his career as an implementation consultant in the Healthcare IT, i.e., EMR, industry.

In 2011, Jeremy left the Healthcare IT industry to pursue his dream of going to law school and becoming a trial attorney. During his tenure at Stetson University's College of Law, Jeremy focused on taking courses designed to educate students on, not just substantive areas of law, but also on practical skills for the courtroom. He graduated in the top ten percent of his class in May 2014.

Jeremy was admitted to the Florida Bar on November 5, 2014. Since then, he has worked as both an assistant state attorney as well as an assistant public defender. He has tried numerous jury trials in both misdemeanor and felony, and he has experience in multiple counties in the Fifth Circuit.

In his “spare time,” Jeremy enjoys spending time with his pup, Rosie, cooking and experimenting with different healthy foods, and binging on Netflix/Hulu/Amazon.
