Ellen Renee Whitton

Ellen Whitton is an Associate Attorney with the Law Offices of Kate Mesic.  She handles cases in the area of family law, domestic violence injunctions, criminal defense and wills and trusts.  She has experience handling various types of civil litigation matters, including HOA/Condo litigation and Landlord Tenant law. 

Ellen earned her law degree, as well as a Certificate in International Law, from Florida Coastal School of Law.  She was also one of five students chosen to serve as an International Law Fellow working with the War Crimes Tribunal at the Constitutional Court of Bosnia-Herzegovina. Prior to joining Mesic Law, Ellen worked as an Associate at Murrell Law representing local HOA/Condominium communities and as a Contract Attorney at Head, Moss, Fulton and Griffin, P.A.  gaining experience in drafting real estate contracts and family law litigation.

 Prior to moving to Jacksonville, Ellen completed her Masters of Arts in Sport and Culture at Roehampton University (London, England) and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs from Florida State University in Tallahassee. She is active in the Jacksonville community through the Junior League of Jacksonville supporting women and children throughout the Jacksonville community.  Ellen is also active in the Riverside/Avondale/Ortega community and enjoys traveling to different countries, running, tennis and watching Florida State football.
