“I was accused by opposing counsel and her client in two Bar Complaints after I successfully prevented her client from intervening in a landlord/tenant action. The Referee threw out all but two claims he determined to be minor misconduct deserving of a letter of admonition and probation. The Florida Bar was embarrassed it lost and appealed asking that I be suspended for 91 days. Surprise, surprise the Florida Supreme Court agreed. My suspension ended and I was reinstated on February 5, 2013.”

“This "Bar Complaint" resulted from a fee dispute with a client. We had a fixed fee Fee Agreement, but I mistakenly deposited the fixed fee retainer in my attorney trust account, rather my attorney operating account--resulting in a technical violation of the trust accounting rules. I returned the entire fee even though I had completed most of the work. Live and learn!”
