Teddy Rivera

Teddy represented me for a charge this past winter and he was above and beyond what I could have expected from legal representation. I still called around a couple lawyers, trying to ...get a grasp on what to expect in terms of cost, their opinions on my case, etc and I circled back immediately to Teddy. He was on vacation when I first reached out to him and still patiently fielded multiple phone calls and answered all of my questions (there were many). He was equally receptive to my many questions, concerns, and confusions throughout the process of my case, which ended up taking about 3 months. He responded promptly to all texts and emails, represented me at every court date so I didn’t have to miss work, and gave immediate reports along with laying out all next steps. He is clearly a bright and competent lawyer, and got me the best possible outcome for my case- one that we had even discussed at the beginning might be a long shot. I could also see in his interactions with the judges and DA’s that he is respected by everyone in the local legal system and I feel it reflected well on me to have him as my representation. This may not matter as much to some but Teddy also has a very kind and comforting demeanor and, as someone who has never been in trouble with the law before, this is something I was really grateful for in a lawyer. He genuinely cared about me as a person and my case. All around he made the whole process as painless as possible and got me the best results I could ask for, I couldn’t recommend him enough!

Mr. Rivera was very informative of the process and the situation at hand. After discussing my situation and my case, Mr. Rivera took full control and helped me through my case 110%. I worked with Mr. Rivera because my son got into some trouble and he was facing a 3 year minimum mandatory. He explained all of our options the good and bad of each .He told us exactly what to do to get the best outcome. He was able to get the state attorney to waive the 3 year minimum mandatory and... we were very pleased with the outcome. He completely changed my view of how we looked at public defenders. I don't think I would have received the same service even if we hired a private attorney. If you get in trouble in Jacksonville ask for Mr. Rivera to be your public defender.
