I did not know I could call an attorney from the Duval County Jail. I sat in there for 21 days. Not fun! The first and second time I went to court, the prosecution gave wrong information to the judge. Because I confronted the prosecution, when she told the judge I had four DUI’s the judge did no...t like that at all. It was my first DUI. On the second court appearance the prosecution said I hit four vehicles. That was not true either. The judge, at that point asked the prosecution if it was possible if I had hit one car with all the passengers in the car. The judge was correct. At that time, he ordered some kind of investigation. I had wrecked into one car. Mr. Fishback also told me from the beginning there were no guarantees my case would come out in my favor. There was no way he could promise that and if he had promised me he could win the case hands down I would have known immediately he would have been the wrong attorney to hire. I like and respect him for his honesty professionalism. I really cannot accurately express my satisfaction for the way he handled my case in every aspect. He worked hard and he did great. I had a DUI in the worst circumstances - running into a police car - and Robert advocated for me and put pressure on the State all the way until the eve of trial until the State conceded and reduced the DUI charges to a reckless driving - the best result I could have expected under the circumstances.... If it wasn't for Robert's advocacy I could have ended up with jail time and multiple DUI convictions. In addition, his rate was more than reasonable considering his extensive trial experience as a former prosecutor.
