A Gift from God

Joseph and his team are incredible. I was dealing with a long distance divorce/custody case, with homeschooled children. I'd had a couple of attorneys, only one of whom actually helped, but then things seemed to fall apart. I needed to make some changes because my children were not doing well. Our ...plan hadn't been finalized yet, so time was of the essence. A few other mommas, in a similar situation, recommended Joe. I consulted with a few attorneys, but none of them were willing to really listen. All of them left me feeling hopeless and very triggered. After years of psychological and emotional abuse, I wasn't in a place to be able to handle those types of attorneys. Joe was different. He was careful, calm, kind, and compassionate, but still straightforward with no b.s. I felt safe. I think that's what all of us want, really. Joe stayed in communication with me. He didn't leave me hanging. He kept me informed, answered every question, and was patient through all of it. He didn't yell at me (yeah, that has happened before). He helped me see things that needed to be seen and understand from better perspectives. It was a bonus that we saw eye to eye on some things and I didn't feel like I had to defend myself to him. We were able to come up with a new plan that kept the children's best interests as the top priority and avoid going to trial. I'm truly grateful and blessed. God put him in my path right when I needed it most. I have given his information to several mommas who are in need of help, and will continue to do so.

Thorough and compassionate

Mr. Alvarez and his team did a fantastic job with my custody modification case and thanks to him I was able to reach an agreement that was better than our best day in court. He made the emotional and stressful process easy to grasp thanks to his kind and compassionate demeanor. I know he’s busy but I... always felt like I was his only client! THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!!

I truly don't even know where to begin, finding Mr. Joseph Alvarez was more than a blessing. He saved my life and my babies' lives. He believed in me and gave me hopes from the very first meeting, when over eleven other attorneys told me to get comfortable with the idea of a certain outcome, one that... I wasn't willing to settle for. My kids deserved better. Mr Alvarez was honest, direct, kind and you would have thought it was your brother fighting for your life. If you think your case is difficult and you've heard many "no's" just give this firm a chance to prove them wrong. I owe Mr. Joe so much, he not only won my case and got me more than what I wanted, but he got my kids and I the peace of mind that I will never be able to truly repay. I can probably sit here and talk for hours about how wonderful, professional, and talented Mr. Joe and this law firm are. You will not regret your decision to go with them! Competent, Confident, and Honest

Family law is a very emotional and contentious process and for some has become very lucrative. So, it was nice to find an attorney who was honest. I needed help in changing my custody agreement and Joe laid out all my options in a manner that put me at ease and helped walk me through all the potent...ial outcomes for my case. He was blunt when I needed to hear it and was critical of my best way forward. I'm a military guy and I like it when people just tell me like it is. Displaying the wisdom of a very seasoned professional, he took time and care with my case ensuring I had good representation. He was focused on the goal and outcome that I wanted to get out of this process. Everything about this process in family law is gut-wrenching, soul-sucking, filled with emotion that you never know which direction the wind will blow and Joe stayed calm and confident through this whole process. For my military brethren, Joe is honest and will tell it to you like it is without any legalese jargon which only serves to make an already stressful moment even more stressful. Joe is the kind of attorney who will work his hardest for you, even the most minor details are things he doesn't overlook. I highly recommend Joe Alvarez and would recommend him to anyone that appreciates honesty and wants an attorney who will work for them to achieve outcomes in the most difficult of situations.

Couldnt have been any better

Joseph has been a savior for my divorce and dealing with my extremely difficult and unstable ex-wife. I have been through a few lawyers and was not getting the assistance I needed. That ended when I was recommended to visit the Zisser law firm as I knew that was one of the top firms in Jacksonville f...or family law. His best quality is what another lawyers struggle with... Communication. I understand that lawyers are busy but the uncertainty of knowing what is going on is important and Joseph seems to understand that. He always had the best interest of my child and is very knowledgeable about the process. Also, he is equipped with some of the best resources in the business working with the Zisser law firm. Cost is reasonable and well worth it. I highly recommend Joseph Alvarez.
