Before you retain this attorney, consider my experience: excessive fees, disregard for client interests, and behavior that appeared motivated more by financial gain than genuine legal support. Just after hiring Andrew Bonderud, I immediately regretted it. His assistant contacted me about removing a ...Google review I’d posted about someone else — and then he billed me 15 minutes for the call. His assistant also forwarded me an old, irrelevant email and he charged 15 minutes for it. This pattern of billing for unnecessary work continued until I challenged the charges, at which point he issued some credits — acknowledging the overbilling. I’ve repeatedly felt that he lacked interest in representing me properly. When I politely requested a refund of the unused retainer to hire someone else, he refused. He even told me that if two or three members of his team work on the same issue or read the same email, I’ll be charged multiple times — a clause nowhere to be found in the agreement. When I provided complete details to complete a task, he failed to act. Days later, he claimed that I’d placed restrictions on him — but the only “restriction” was my refusal to pay for duplicate work. In essence, he implied that unless I let him overcharge, he wouldn’t do the work. Despite paying a substantial retainer, he ultimately withdrew from the case and refused to return any unused funds. He threatened to file a lawsuit against me should I make the matter public. Consider this a cautionary tale — look elsewhere for legal support that values integrity and professionalism.
