Kevin Michael Cobbin

Kevin Cobbin will not provide you with a detailed bill nor will he advise of the so-called work he has done on your behalf. When asked about the work he completed to date, Cobbin gets irate and says you are interfering with him doing his job. Attorneys are responsible for keeping detailed statemen...ts regarding the work they have done. Cobbin represented me in a criminal case; however, he refused to meet with me at the jail because he said it would take too long. He never showed me a copy of the arrest report so I didn't even know the details of what I was being accused of doing. When he finally came to the detention center, he stayed for 20 minutes, never opened my folder and did not tell me how he would defend me. The only reason he came to the jail was because my family threatened to fire him if he didn't. We figured out after 3 weeks that Cobbin's so-called strategy was to accept money and then do nothing. We lost $2250 with Cobbin who did no work. He operates like a paid public defender which is insulting to public defender's because at least they show up to court on time instead of arriving late like Cobbin. We had to hire another attorney to defend me. Cobbin's strategy is taking your money, keeping you in the dark, and getting irate if you ask him about the work he has completed to date. You will regret hiring this attorney that was reprimanded by the state

I hired Mr. Cobbin on March 6, 2017 as my divorce attorney and paid him my fees. He never met up with me or discussed my case before we had court on May 2, 2017. We got in court and he didn't have a clue about my case at all. He never prepped me for what was going to happen in court. He never requ...ested my ex husband's financial affidavit and told me that he wasn't. He basically made my case worse than it was. He is very unprofessional. He never did anything for my case and took my money. He never gave me a financial statement so that I would know what I was being billed for. He was a no call, no show and had not planned to meet up with me before mediation. The week before mediation I had to hire another attorney because he refused to do his job. The only thing he kept stating was "my divorce was to short and that my ex husband and I were doing too much." While in court my ex husband attacked my character and he never crossed examined me to clear up the false statements that were made. He told me, " What do you care, you are moving back to Kentucky." He is a horrible attorney and I wouldn't recommend him to my enemy. Hope this will help someone out. DON'T EVER USE HIM!!!!
