Marsha Sharlene Johnson

My father Lawrence Borns retired in 2015, a 50-year veteran of the Florida Bar who built his practice and reputation single-handedly and cared so much for his community that he offered his services pro bono to those who desperately needed legal help but couldn't afford it. Upon his retirement Ms. Joh...nson signed a promissory note to use his name and practice. Since my father passed in 2019, Ms. Johnson has continued to use his good name and sully it by defaulting on her promissory note obligations to him and now to us, his heirs. After being given many chances, she was sued and the court found against her. However, we have been told she pleaded to the court that she declared bankruptcy and couldn't repay her debt. The attorney who sued her has yet to find the actual filing. All of this is verifiable in court records. She has been reported to the Florida Bar. If people would like to work with Ms. Johnson, that is their business. Mine is to clarify to the online world that there is a world of difference between my father, attorney Lawrence Borns, and Ms. Johnson, and the two should never be confused.
