Richard K. Thibault

I hired Richie Thiballs to represent me in a very simple case. I received a speeding ticket for driving 58 in a 55 zone 3 miles over the speed limit. I had my digital cruise control on my BMW set at 55. I told Mr Thiballs I wanted him to contest the ticket because my driving record was spotless from ...the time I received my learner's permit. At 48 I received my first driver's violation and it was a lie. I talked to Teaballs about getting the documents on the Deputy's radar to see how often they were calibrated and when the last time this Deputies was calibrated and if there were any problems ever. I asked him to go back 3 years. His response was how am I supposed to do that? Well I'm not an attorney I run an insurance agency and I was talking to him because he claimed to be an attorney. I said wouldn't you supena the records from them or something like that. He said well that's not the language we use however it's similar to that. I said great let's do it and get this ticket dismissed. Teaballs said I can't promise you we will win I said of course not however I have video of cars passing me others that were in front of me for miles and said we can prove easily I was targeted. He said it's going to save you money if you pay the ticket and walk away. I asked how many people he knew that had never received a ticket ever before that day and had been driving over 30 years he said no one I've never seen a drivers record that clean. I said exactly it's the principal of this I want this ticket dismissed then I want to get the money back in small claims court for my loses and I want you to handle that. Teaballs said we can't take a Deputy to small claims I said sure we can. We might get lectured by the Judge however the media will know we did it after beating the ticket and having it dismissed so this Deputy will get what he deserves. He said this will make him look stupid and I said attorneys look stupid and dirty everyday fighting for their clients. He told me he would not look stupid for less than ten thousand dollars which is extreme for a ticket and small claims however I said I will give you five thousand Today to get started and give thousand when we win the first case. Teaballs agreed. I gave him five thousand dollars. I wanted this done and over with clients of mine had seen me on the side of the road with this Deputy and were asking what I did . On court day I was there 30 minutes early Mr Teaballs showed up and hour late apologizing to the Judge never apologized to me. My case was called before he got there and I had to ask the Judge if he could call me once I got into contact with my Attorney? The judge was kind and said yes. After approximately 30 minutes he asked if I had gotten in touch with Teaballs and I let him know I had made 5 calls to an out of service cell phone. That bothered me a lot if he couldn't pay his phone Bill what was going on the Judge said if you want to represent yourself the Deputy isn't here and I will dismiss the ticket so I accepted that yet still waited. I told him I wanted my five thousand dollars back yet I still wanted to go to small claims to sue for the 5 hours total I lost of my time. I told Teaballs that he could keep the five thousand for the small claims representation. He agreed I said we will be even then nothing owed. Once again he agreed. We went to small claims on the date and time Mr Teaballs said and I found out he had submitted no information to small claims at all . We were there and both of us looked stupid. The Judge actually laughed at us both before we left. I told him I wanted a copy of the papers he filed before I left. He said they are in my car.. Teaballs said wait her I will get them and get the clerk here to make some copies for us. As he scurried off like a weasel or tiny rat

If it can't be looked up on the computer don't go to this Moron. He has no knowledge of the law in his head like other Attorneys. All he thinks about is who he will cheat on his wife with the next time. I hired him against my own judgement because he was less expensive. I had to Hold him on my hip so... he could look over the Lecturn and see the Judge when he spoke. I don't know if other attorneys run him over in court because of His Stature of being a Midget or I guess the proper term is Little Guy or what. He is sorta cuddly yet I thought I was hiring an attorney.

Paid thousands for a retainer. He emailed opposing counsel a couple times. But when it came time to schedule the hearing for my ex’s third contempt charge for non-payment of child support, Mr. Thibault vanished. No response at all to many many texts, calls, and emails. My money remains in his pocket.... Deplorable.

Mr. Thibault was recommended to me at a time when life was very stressful. My first surprise was that he met with me on a Saturday and from that moment he repeatedly assured me that everything would be fine. He was right. Mr. Thibault also worked with me and around my schedule, and not always on his.... I've had lawyers in my past, and until meeting Mr. Thibault, had an opinion that this profession lacked warmth and a personalization of an individuals circumstance. I think what makes a lawyer a great lawyer is in having social skills, a sense of strength, and confidence. Mr. Thibault's character exemplifies all these traits as well as being an outstanding lawyer.

I have known Richard for years and used him last year for an attorney, I had some complications from a auto accident and he took care of everything and was very caring. He stayed on top of the situation and was able to get me money that I really needed at the time. I would recommend Richard anytime. ...He is very easy to talk to and tries very hard to get your case done in a speedy manner.
