Rook's story is as unique as she is...

Prior to attending law school, Rook worked as a military intelligence analyst in the US Army, and later for many years as a private investigator. Rook attended Florida Coastal School of Law under a full scholarship, and has a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in Forensic Science. (Prosecutors hate this about her!)

She worked throughout law school, writing motions and appellate briefs for various law firms, as well as assisting in dozens of criminal trials. She is a gifted writer who has written many appellate briefs for multiple district courts of appeal, as well as for the Florida Supreme Court.

Rook is a Florida native and licensed to practice in all Florida courts. Rook is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western District of Arkansas, United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, the Western District of New York, the Eastern District of Michigan, and the Fifth and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeals. If she cannot get admitted to practice in the state where you reside, she can usually get admitted pro hac vice with a local partner in the area.

If you are in Northeast Florida, then chances are you have seen Rook on the news, talking about LGBT civil rights and other issues regarding Constitutional laws and civil rights. She also devotes a lot of time to criminal defense and appellate law.

Rook is a board member of the National Trans Bar Association, as well as being a member of The National LGBT Bar Association, National Bar Association, The National Trial Lawyers Association, and the National Police Accountability Project. Rook is the recipient of the 2021 National Trial Lawyers Top 10 Civil Rights Trial Lawyers, Top 10 Women’s Rights Trial Lawyers and Top 25 National Women Trial Lawyers. Rook has also been chosen b the American Bar Association’s Diversity Fellowship Program Diversity Fellow 2022, Programs Board Member 2022 and the Vice Chair 2022 of the Young Lawyers Committee. She is currently writing a book on transgender law for the American Bar Association.

In her free time, Rook can usually be found riding motorcycles, going to her synagogue, or spending time at the beach with her family.

Hero, champion of Justice, She's a mighty hand used for deliverance ,beauiful one.
There no words to describe how grateful I am for her services. She saved my life and I'm going to tell the whole world what she did. Rook Ringer is making history and making wrongs right. I'll finish telling more later when Im able to articulate why I call her those words of endearment. She is a symbol of strength and power. The whole world will know her name.

She will not let the bad guys win!
Rook has a passion for justice and people. Too often, there is a disconnect between lawyers and their clients; Rook is vested in her cases. Once, I told her that she was like a bulldog, in that, once she had her teeth in, she does not let go. Her reply was, "I will not let the bad guys win!" I am grateful that we Rook representing us. She is a keeper!
