Carol Ann Caldwell

In 2006, I went to meet with Carol Caldwell. I was not in a happy situation and concerned about my future. A friend recommended I write a few notes about my situation. My notes turned out to be five pages typed single-spaced. When I met with Carol, I told her I had notes. She read the five pages. She... looked at me and asked if I had any idea how much danger I was in. That was when the walls of shame and secrecy came crashing down. My husband was severely abusive, but I was too ashamed to admit it.
