Ellen Day Jervis

Personally I think Ellen was a great lawyer for me. She helped save my life I was a juvenile at the time but when I was 16 years old I was certified as an adult and was facing 25 years in the penitentiary. But with the help of her she believed in me and fought for my rights to go to Division of Youth... Services (DYS). So personally i believ she is a awesome lawyer.

Ellen Jervis did not adequately investigate my case and ended up lumping me into a group of mothers who don't care about or for their children. It is my belief that she did so because of the color of my skin. I am a well-educated, well-spoken woman, but she continually spoke to me as if I wa a crimi...nal and always condescended to me. She mislabeled me as mentally ill and neglectful...during a time that I had become comatose and needed psychiatric care due to too much of a particular medication. In the long run it has damaged my credibility. The most horrible part of this is that she hadn't presented proof of any of this...she relied on the word of a terribly resentful ex-husband.
