This man and his office did a wonderful job for me. Honest and kept me informed every step of the way . Reasonable and respectful of me and my situation .... I question any anonymous negative reviews -sounds like the losing side of his clients to me. Like my ex who lost against Mr Akin. Over the mon...ths I never saw anyone he represented displeased with the results . He gets good results. Maybe they just want to trash someone they lost to.... or someone they stiffed paying for his great representation .. He's good. Me and my friends recommend him highly .

10 years ago with my divorce I didn't know what he was doing all I know is I wanted a divorce .. I didnt know I had sole custody , I asked my ex husband to sign our daughters passport and he refused , mind you I only looked at my divorce papers this year because I needed the dates for my current husb...ands va comp.....Well with me getting sole custody of my child I didn't need my ex husband and , she is able to travel overseas,, (my parents live in Abu-dabi ) .. Mr. Akin told me years ago that my ex husband would not help me , he was so right he still don't help and has not even seen her , she is about to be 12.... I'm so thankful for this lawyer

He was very good at getting the ball rolling for my divorce / custody case. There were many complications with getting things started and I felt that he handled them very well. As things progressed and started to stagnate, I almost sensed a loss of enthusiasm for my case. Much of the lull was do to... inaction on the part of my former spouse's lawyer. Even though this was the case, i felt like I was constantly being told to "wait a while to see what happens". In the end, my results were fair and the price was fair as well. Unless you are looking for a very aggressive attorney, I have no reason to not recommend Gerald Akin.
