Disability Claim: Excellent Law Firm

I would highly recommend this law firm to anyone at the VA or DAV if they’re looking for a responsible and professional attorney. My attorney, including the staff, was very communicative and provided monthly check in’s about the status of our case.

VA Benefits

Worked for many years to get my full benefits from the VA. I finally contact Centonzio Law. Victoria was assigned to my case and got things going ASAP. Her an Vanessa were always available to take my calls, contacted me with updates and were very through in explaining everything. They are simply the ...best and I would not bother with dealing with the VA any other way. I had tried other legal teams and methods but nothing was as successful as Victoria and Centonzio Law. I am a very happy vet. P.S. They are both very nice people

Review of Victoria Tamayo Esq. --Appeal to United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims

I hired Ms. Tamayo after a number of years fighting with the Veterans Administration over the level of my benefits. I tried reaching out to service organizations, and even another law firm. The representation I had before hiring Ms. Tamayo and Centonzio Law did not wish to take my case to the CAVA.... When speaking to me initially about the case Ms. Tamayo was honest and forthright about my chances and about the risks. She reviewed the case thoroughly and had a firm grasp on the entire case file which spanned roughly 12 years and a mountain of medical files. She had the timeline of events down solid. Initially, I thought that it would be a better strategy to approach the case from a different angel. I was worried that the VA was going to respond to our argument in a specific way. Ms. Tamayo heard me out completely and we had a few conversations about which approach to take over the way the case would be addressed in Court. She listened to every concern and did not dismiss any thing that I said. She consulted with her colleagues obtained information I had asked about or sought second opinions on questions that I had asked. At no time did ego or hubris enter into this dialogue. She was happy to ensure that everything I asked for was answered. She also fully explained to me the position she wished to make in my case before the Court. She explained the argument in terms and by means which I understood and was able to interpret. I want to be clear here she did not dumb anything down. She worked with me till I understood what was going on and even offered to ask her boss to explain things to me concerning my case. I eventually went with the advice of counsel, and we proceeded. When we arrived at the CAVA the VA representative agreed with Ms. Tamayo and the case was awarded in my favor and remanded back to the BVA to be corrected. Ms. Tamayo’s effort in my case was a 10/10, her support and how she listened to me was a 10/10. Availability was 8/10 (but there was always someone in her office who could update me on my case). Follow through till the case was fully completed 10/10 (we had to file for a higher-level review because when the VA gave me my award, they, purposely in my opinion set the wrong back date) The higher-level review was sent up very quickly and while it took longer than I or anyone else wanted, the higher-level review was awarded in my favor (the difference of 2 months of back pay vs. 8 years of back pay roughly). At every step during this process Ms. Tamayo and Centonzio law were right there updating me on a regular basis. They also never complained if I called them for an update or question about progress. I had a number of questions throughout the case and the process and Ms. Tamayo’s willingness to answer them and get back to me was 10/10. Mine was a long complicated (or somewhat complicated) case that I had been arguing before the VA for 12 years. I truly believe that they were hoping I would just go away and take what they gave me. I almost did before I found, Centonzio Law and Ms. Tamayo’s representation. If you are a Veteran and want solid dedicated representation before the BVA or the CAVA or at any other level of disabled Veteran awards I cannot recommend this law firm to you highly enough. Ms. Tamayo in particular, the lawyer I dealt with from the Centonzio Law Firm, was outstanding and always in my corner. This is truly an outstanding law firm and Ms. Tamayo is truly an outstanding lawyer dedicated to her clients!
