Hired John for a shared custody hearing and it took 7 months of zero phone calls unless I called 1st and me threatening to go sit in his office daily for him to make a move on my case countless phone calls unanswered dozens of emails unanswered was discouraging. He is Gung ho at the consultation but ...after he has your money you can hang it up. I will say I did win my case and in thankful the judge seen I was a fit parent because he wanted to prepare got the case one hour before we went to trial when he had the evidence 2 weeks prior when he finally ask for something from me. This review will never hurt his practice but if one person goes elsewhere I've done a good deed choose wisely folk

I hired John Holt before researching his practice. He seemed gun-ho like others said in the beginning. He does not return calls in a timely manner. I had to call him numerous times to get a status on my case. He seemed clue-less because his workload is too much. He will take on your case and yo...ur money to have you believing your case is an easy case that he can resolve in your favor. Which in my case never happened, his customer service is horrible. I would not recommend him even if he was for free. My only mistake was hiring him, all of the reviews you've read are similar to me there has to be some validity to these reviews. He is not personal with his clients and he makes you feel like he's rushes you off the telephone as if you are bothering him. He should NEVER practice law, he is an embarrassment to all lawyers! I'm not giving him one star, he does not deserve it nor did he earn it. I will most likely be firing him and hiring a new lawyer.

Worst ever

We paid this attorney up front after the consultation for what was supposed to be a cut and dry case. This has been going on for close to a year now. There is no communication about the case. We will receive an email that a date has been set with zero communication or consultation. When we finally a...re able to see or speak with him the case is nowhere near ready to go to trial and is half prepared. Emails and calls go unanswered for months and when they are answered it is nothing but excuses. This is the type of service that makes you lose faith in the profession. I only rate 1 star because there are no other options.

no communication

No follow up at all, with either office assistants or Mr. Holt. I never received the copy of my paperwork, was not communicated with on the hearing date, and only found out any information by calling in after having emails ignored. I've had to follow up myself with every step or I would have been lef...t in the dark completely. I also had to make multiple changes myself to the original paperwork due to another client's information being left on the emailed copy...after I sent it back once for revision due to errors. I was told paperwork was filed with the courts, only to find out that it was not actually filed until days later. Would not recommend at all.
