James Raymond Miller IV

Jimmy received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Washington and Lee University in 2002 and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2005. Immediately prior to joining Langdale Vallotton, Jimmy worked for two years as an Assistant Public Defender for the Southern Judicial Circuit where he obtained extensive courtroom experience. Prior to that, Jimmy spent more than four years as an associate in the commercial lending practice group at the law firm of Parker, Hudson, Rainer & Dobbs, LLP in Atlanta, Georgia, where he represented banks and other institutional lenders in secured lending transactions.

Jimmy is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Valdosta Bar Association, and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. He is admitted to practice in all Georgia state courts, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the United States District Courts for the Middle, Southern, and Northern Districts of Georgia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Jimmy’s primary practice areas include general commercial litigation, business torts and personal injury, business/corporate transactions, and real estate.

In 2013, Jimmy’s legal peers selected him for inclusion in Georgia Trend Magazine’s 2013 Legal Elite as one of Georgia’s top-rated attorneys. In 2014, Jimmy was selected to participate in the Georgia Trial Lawyer Association’s Leadership Education & Advanced Direction (LEAD) Program. In 2016, Jimmy began serving on the Executive Committee of the Real Property Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia.

Jimmy is a member of Valdosta First United Methodist Church, and he currently serves on the Valdosta North Rotary Club’s Board of Directors.
