I have thirty years of experience in family law, divorce, custody, adoption, guardianship and conservatorship, juvenile law, and probate law. I am experienced with military divorce issues and mental health issues related to family law issues.
I have twenty-five years of experience as domestic law mediator. I am registered with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution.
I am a parenting coordinator who has experience in family law and psychological impact of divorce. I help parents develop or follow post-divorce custody agreements with the aim of reducing parental conflict and unneccessary court appearances. Contentious divorces and their aftermath impact the parenting skills of the parents to the detriment of their children. I teach the parents to put their children first.
I am certified by the National Association of Counsel for Children as a Child Welfare Law Specialist.

However, when I contacted an attorney friend in a large prestigious law firm in Atlanta asking for a reference, without hesitation they recommended Janice Powe...
"I have never met another attorney who advocates as zealously as Janice does for her clients. Regardless of whether you agree with her position, she goes to bat for her clients, which I admire. She is knowledgeable about the law and brutally honest about the facts. I proudly endorse her as a fellow attorney!"
