Stephanie O. Burgess is the owner and managing attorney of the Burgess Law Group, LLC, located in historic downtown Savannah, Georgia. In 2020, she was named National Trial Lawyers Top 100 for Criminal Defense, the National Black Lawyers Top 100, and was also included in Savannah Magazine’s Top Lawyers in 2020 and in 2019. Prior to hanging her own shingle, Stephanie was a law clerk for City of Atlanta Municipal Court and worked as a staff attorney for Fulton County Superior Court. Prior to law school she worked as a P.O.S.T. certified law enforcement officer for approximately 10 years.
Ms. Burgess attended Clark Atlanta University and is a graduate of Savannah State University and Texas Southern School of Law.
She loves spending time with family and friends, playing scrabble and writing poetry.

Great Experience
Burgess Law Group assisted me with a traffic violation. Ms. Burgess personally handled my suspended license case. Ms. Burgess did all of ground work and prep me for my hearing. She met with solicitor and my case was thrown out. Ms. Burgess also handles my family's legal issue. We trust her.
