Hannah Kicklighter Drown, Divorce & Family Law Attorney | Savannah, Georgia
Hannah Kicklighter Drown is a Savannah, Georgia divorce and family law attorney dedicated to helping families navigate divorce, child custody, and other family law matters with clarity, compassion, and skilled advocacy. A lifelong resident of Chatham County, Hannah is deeply rooted in the Savannah community she serves.
A second-generation graduate of St. Vincent's Academy, Hannah earned her Bachelor of Arts in Magazine and Photojournalism, Cum Laude, from the University of Georgia's Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. Before law school, and throughout it, she worked in luxury wedding photography — an experience that continues to shape her practice today. Her journalism background trained her to dig deep and understand each client's full story, while her years in wedding photography sharpened her attention to detail, her ability to work collaboratively with other professionals, and her steady hand in guiding people through emotionally significant moments. She's the first to note the full-circle irony of beginning her career behind a camera at weddings and now helping clients through divorce.
Hannah earned her Juris Doctor from Mercer University School of Law, where she was a Georgia Scholarship Recipient. She was active in numerous student organizations, including the Association of Women Law Students (1L Representative and Philanthropy Co-Chair), Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, the Hispanic Law Student Association, the Real Estate Society, and Project Equality. She was a Top 8 competitor in the Hugh Lawson Moot Court Competition and served as Co-Captain of Mercer's Client Counseling team her 3L year.
Hannah began her legal career as an Associate Special Assistant Attorney General, representing the Chatham County Department of Family and Children's Services in dependency proceedings. Over four years in this role, she gained extensive courtroom experience and developed deep expertise in child custody law and best-interest-of-the-child standards — protecting children who had been abused or neglected while remaining sensitive to the emotional toll on every family involved. This background gives her clients a distinct advantage: firsthand insight into how Georgia courts evaluate custody and family matters.
Hannah is a member of the Georgia Bar Association and the Savannah Bar Association, including the Young Lawyers Divisions of each.
Outside the office, Hannah and her husband — high school sweethearts — are raising two young boys and enjoy exploring everything Savannah has to offer, from Historic Downtown and the marshes to Tybee Island. A true Savannah native, she never misses a St. Patrick's Day celebration.
