Jonathan Dejesus

I was recently divorced using another attorney in the area. I was in a 16 year marriage attached to the military. I was allotted a percentage of the retirement per the Final Agreement. When I attempted to start that process with DFAS, I was quickly notified that my Order was written incorrectly an...d needed to be modified and signed by a Judge. I wasn’t sure what to do so I reached out to Mr. Dejesus’ office. He was quick to respond and was able to help me. He was very knowledgeable in regards to how the modification was to be written and made the changes. He and his staff stayed in communications with me while waiting for the other parties to comply. I was on a time restraint to get the corrections per DFAS and even though that time had expired, to no fault of ours, Mr. Dejesus was reassuring that everything was an easy fix and they would honor the modification. He was right. Through his persistent follow ups with the other parties, I got my modification and was able to submit it with no problems. I would definitely recommend Mr. Dejesus. He is attentive to his clients and knows his job. You just have to trust him.

Jonathan was able to help me successfully obtain Primary Physical Custody of my 4 year old son, which is not easy to do considering the stereotype of the mom always getting the child. Since my ex is Active Duty Jonathan knew what docs to request and what questions to ask since he is a LTC (reserves) ...himself. He is well known in the circuit which was proven by the judge calling him by name when we first started and referencing his Army Reserve status during the trial. At the time Jonathan had 30+ cases but portrayed that he only had one case, mine!! This was again proven when every time we had a meeting the only thing on his desk was my paperwork and the extent of detail brought out in trial showed he did his homework and pulled the important things out that I told him when we discussed my case. I would and have recommended Jonathan to others.

I originally tried to handle everything without a lawyer. Massive mistake! Mr. DeJesus was able to get the judge to reconsider, fix errors that was wrong with the case and ensure that I was operating in the best interest of my child. It all worked out just as he stated and his prices are better th...an fair. Hopefully, I won't have any more issues but if I do he's the one I'm calling.
