Doesn't know about disability discrimination

I have proof that Teresa Mills was my lawyer from December 2012 to May 2013. Teresa Mills refused to go after the closed captioned amplified phone system that I wanted, just because Houston Medical Center said that they couldn't provide it and Teresa Mills said that they couldn't provide it and it wa...s overreaching to ask for a closed captioning amplified phone again. That I had to ask for what the hospital could provide. Teresa Mills asked for a portable amplified phone and after 3-4 months of waiting for a phone that wouldn't acommodate me in all situations, then Teresa Mills said I had to be patient, that these things take time and Teresa stopped communicating with me. After a couple of months then, Teresa finally responded to my email and said that I was supposed to have the portable amplified phone and I was supposed to be acommodated already. Teresa Mills contacted the hospital lawyer and they finally contacted human resources and then once a meeting was held and hospital made me choose a phone at random from a website, then Teresa Mills quit the case and after I finally got the phone and hospital updated their policies and started harrassing me based on the new policies and they started tampering with my new phone then Teresa Mills wasn't there to help, and so if you need help with a disability accommodation employment problem then Teresa Mills is not the right lawyer for your case. You need a lawyer who knows what accommodations you are legally entitled to and will fight for what you want and need. Teresa Mills is not that lawyer.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
