Title: Hope Restored – Grateful for Mr. Raines and Mr. Harris

Review: I was referred to Mr. Raines by a mutual friend who assured me he could truly help with my son’s case. After meeting with Mr. Raines and his paralegal, I was immediately impressed by their professionalism, attentiveness, and sincere concern. I felt confident enough to hire them on the spot—a...nd I’m so glad I did. Thus far, it has been a very positive experience. Mr. Raines brought a fresh perspective to the case, highlighting key points we hadn’t fully considered. The way he explained everything made it all come together clearly. Mr. Harris has also been an incredible asset. While we’re somewhat familiar with criminal law, his depth of knowledge and understanding far surpasses ours and has been incredibly helpful. For the first time in over a year, my son and I feel truly hopeful about the direction of this case. We’re thankful to have such a strong team advocating for us. Thank you, Mr. Raines and Mr. Harris, for helping us through this difficult process. I’ll post an update once the case is resolved—but for now, we’re feeling encouraged and confident with them by our side.

He need to be disbarred

I hired Mr. Raines 15 mos ago based on a referral from my DV counselor My charges were felony terroristic threat and misdemeanor domestic violence. Mr. Raines first brought up a red flag with me by not answering his phone close to my court date so we could discuss my case. Then he rescheduled my cour...t date twice after that because he said he had to do something with his daughter then his next excuse was he had a case in another county at the same time. Fast forward to my judgement day. He had a loud smell of alcohol on his breath. I was contemplating on asking the judge to continue the case to allow me to get another attorney but I figured he would deny it because we already had 2 continuances. He assured me that because I had no previous criminal history he would get my felony reduced to a misdemeanor. I ended up leaving with the same charges and 36 mos probation. January 2024 I hired Mr. Raines once again (only because it was involving the same case) Again he assured me he could get me off of probation for good behavior. He asked for $1000 fee. Inwich he wanted 50% to file the paperwork and the balance once the judge released me from probation. Two months went by after I sent him the money. Call after call text after text. No response no answer. Or a 3 word response I’m in court! I’m like what’s going on do I have a court date yet it’s going on 3 months. Then he said I filed it but I’m still waiting on a court date. I said if you file it you should’ve gotten a court date then he is a liar! I called and text him on April 11, 2024 requesting a refund a he never responded. I text him again today and told him that I have a paper trail of text and calls I’ve made to him about his miscommunication and he continues to ignore his client that hired him to do a job. I will be filing a complaint Monday morning with The Georgia Bar Association. At this point I’m ready to add a civil lawsuit to the complaint for all the stress and anguish he has caused me in the last 15 months. I’m going to get on every social media outlet I can find and speak about him. All he want is the money he doesn’t care about his clients. Once he get the money he’s not going to answer his phone until he gets ready.
