My Brother in law had a ticket for a suspended license due to child support payments. He did not know his license were suspended because he had been in and out of jail for several years due to drug use. He has been clean and sober and going through drug court about to graduate when someone ran a re...d light and hit him. That is when he found out about the suspended license. He immediately went and got his license and took care of child support before his court date. He asked for a court appointed attorney and got Mr. Wilson. Mr. Wilson refused to tell the judge he already got his license back and ask for charges to be dropped. Instead, he told us that it is standard procedure that his license will be resuspended for 4 months because he submitted a plea and he only asked the judge for a temporary license. This resulted in a $500 fine and 12 months probation even though it has been taken care of! No one else in court that day (close to 100 people) for MUCH worse crimes got more than a $300 fine. This should have beed a dismissed charge but Mr. Wilson failed to give the judge all of the facts.
