Of course, the flip side is the mother can file for an increase in support based on inflation, changed circumstances, etc.

You can file any motion you want. Inmates do it all the time. Will it work? That is hard to say, but your chances go way up if you are...

I am not a CA lawyer, but I don't see how this is an issue. If they weren't there and something happened to her, you could be liable.
