My husband and I first met John Baker in 2005 when my husband needed legal assistance. It was a very trying and stressful situation, and Mr. Baker kept us up to date on changes in the case. When my husband's probation was revoked in another county, he was arrested on a Sunday morning. I contacted Mr... Baker's office on a Sunday and was able to get the ball rolling so that by Monday afternoon my husband was already free and would not have to spend another night in jail. We never felt like money was the incentive for Mr Baker to be assisting us, and he always was up front about the possible outcomes of the case. Every time another deadline approached he would speak with my husband about the ramifications and what to expect. This was a three year process with many court dates and meetings and deadlines. And every time we hit a wall or setback, Mr Baker would recommend another path we could try. By the conclusion of this case, my husband and I had built a trust with Mr. Baker. We knew wholeheartedly that he had done everything possible to reach a positive outcome. There were no regrets in our experience with Mr Baker and we actually have worked with him a few times since 2005. When we bought a house, we wrote into the closing contract that Mr Baker had to be the lawyer that was used in the transaction. We knew he would make sure that everything was done correctly. And in 2013, after a year of haggling with State Farm over an insurance claim, we informally called Mr Baker for legal advice. He assisted us tremendously in this matter, as we were ready to pull our hair out in frustration. He was able to look at the policy and clearly lay out where things stood. And after a letter from our lawyer, Mr Baker, was sent to State Farm, they immediately became cooperative and attentive to our claim. We are, of course, hopeful that we will not need a lawyer's assistance in the future. But if we do, I have no doubt in my mind that we would again rely on John Hollis Baker for legal assistance.
