About Haywood
Biography
I grew up in Mechanicsville, Virginia, just outside of Richmond, and am the oldest of three children. I worked in a number of different jobs in high school and during college (e.g., delivery trucks, landscaping, waiting tables, HVAC technician, refinishing furniture, valet parking) and am grateful for the variety of life lessons I gainedfrom those experiences.
I attended the University of Virginia and majored in both economics and history. After graduating from UVA in 2004, I moved to Athens, Georgia to attend the University of Georgia School of Law. I greatly enjoyed my time in law school and made many life-long friends. During law school, I also picked up two new loves: my guitar and my then girlfriend, now wife!
I graduated from UGA Law in 2007 and was fortunate to practice in Atlanta at Morris, Manning & Martin LLP until December 2010. At that time, I got the chance to move back to Athens and continue my practice.
I am thankful for the opportunity to live in Athens with my wife and our children and to practice law with the outstanding people in our firm, and I would be delighted to assist you with your legal needs.
