I am an experienced adoption attorney who has helped countless numbers of clients expand their families through adoption. Those families include  traditional and  non-traditional adoptive parents, single parents, couples, and foster parents. I handle all types of adoptions including state agency (DFCS) adoptions, private agency adoptions, independent adoptions,  stepparent adoptions, adult adoptions, grandparent adoptions, relative adoptions,  international/domestication of foreign decree, ICPC casees, guardianships, and termination of parental right actions. I also represent Birth Mothers considering adoption.  I am a Fellow with the Georgia Council of Adoption Lawyers.

In addition to my adoption practice, I am often appointed by Superior Court Judges to represent children in high conflict custody matters throughout the State of Georgia. I work with families and their attorneys to structure an outcome that is in the best interests of the children. I have been qualified as an expert and testified as an expert on numerous occasions in custody matters in the Superior Courts of Georgia.  I am a member of the National Association of Counsel for Children and the Georgia Association of Counsel for Children.

I devote a significant amount of time volunteering for organizations which advocate for the rights of children and provide support for children in need.  I am a member of a number of professional organizations, including the Athens Access to Justice Initiative.  I currently serve as the Chair of the Family Law Section for the Western Circuit Bar Association.
