Outstanding Service

Hired Anne for two separate cases several years apart. She made some frustrating situations as pleasant as they could be. Got the results I had hoped for each time. Was prompt, professional, answered and replied quickly. I could not have been more impressed with her. Highly recommend!

Experienced, Smart, Educated and Effective

We needed a defense attorney in the Gainesville area who was familiar with the courts and how they operate. Attorney Bishop handled our case expertly and quickly. She communicated all activities promptly. Anne represented us extremely well by negotiating a considerably lower judgement than we expe...cted. We will be forever grateful to her.

Outstanding representation for non-resident client

After being cited for work zone speeding (at 5:30 am., in total darkness, on a strange road, and on a remote roadway) I sought an attorney to represent me in my case. Having no idea to contact, being in the area on business, and having never been there, a Google search led me to Ms. Bishop's practice.... I was impressed with the positive reviews and made contact with her. She returned my call the same day, listened to my situation, and clearly explained the process to me. During the process I received timely updates about the case. It was resolved favorably. I only spoke with Ms. Bishop one time but it was enough for me to lend her my trust. I highly recommend her.

Very Disappointing Experience

Attorney Bishop seems like a very nice person, however I was very dissatisfied with the service I have received. When I first spoke to her on the phone about my speeding ticket, she was very helpful and told me so many things that she would like to do (such as taking a look at a police dash cam, ect..... ect. to give me results I wanted to see) however, it seem as though she always waited to do anything until the very last minute.. usually when I finally ask her about it just few days before the court date. However, the moment I paid her the attorney fees.. I felt as though I was pushed aside.. I have not really heard from her even when the letters from the court came with updates, which she told me she would contact me. I've never really received any updates unless I emailed her about the letters I received. and even after about 7-8 months since she has said she will take a look at the police dash cam... she hasn't done it until 5-6ish days right before the court date when I asked her about it and even that... I had to pay for so she can get the video via email and i didn't want to risk her not having enough time to go up there to see it. When i finally got my non-jury trial date in the mail.. I emailed her right when i got it and i had no response for several days.. so 2 days before the court date.. i emailed her again and she finally responded back and told me the solicitor wasn't really budging. I know she might be busy, but I felt as though she didn't really help me not just because of the outcome but because of lack of service and felt like maybe the outcome would have been different if i felt like she wasn't putting me off to the side throughout this whole process. To make the matters worse.. We agreed to meet at 8:20 the day of non-jury trial and she ran late. and I have emailed her my Defensive Driving School certificate but I'm not sure if she lost it or not but she asked me to bring that when I feel like it would be an attorney's job to have all those in hand / in file coming to court and she took a picture of the defensive driving school certificate after I paid my fines... at the very end of it to "keep it for her record" . all in all.. I ended up pleading guilty and didnt get ANY benefits of hiring an attorney because i ended up having to pay my speeding ticket fine with nothing reduced and insurance rate just going up. I didnt care about paying more.. but wanted to hire an attorney specifically to try and get this reduced to prevent my insurance rate from going up high. I have a lot of respect for Attorney Bishop, however, I felt like it was super unfair and I am quite upset needless to say. Even if I had the same outcome, I would have been happy if I felt like as though she actually cared and tried rather than me always feeling like I have to keep reminding her of my case and feeling frustrated that she was not really doing what she promised and waiting until the very end to do anything.

I am sorry you were disappointed. Please feel free to contact me with your concerns. Often times matters in the legal system do revolve around court dates and information is not available until close to that time. I look forward to hearing further from you!

"I hired Anne as a law clerk when after her first year at the University of Georgia Law School. She was one of four clerks, and turned out to be the best researcher, best writer and the most dependable law clerk. The other clerks asked HER to read over their memos and briefs before submitting to me. She has been a strong an steady Gainesville attorney for three decades, and is the type of reliable and smart attorney that all lawyers should strive to be --- detailed, dedicated and honest to a fault."
