Hothem agreed to represent my son from start to finish for a flat fee which we paid upfront at his request. He did not do anything. He did not show up at court just sent a substitute attorney who we had not met and she did not learn about the case until the night before the first court appearance. Af...ter the second court appearance, which he did not show up for {sent a substitute), he called wanting more money. When I told him he needed to keep our agreement to handle the case from start to finish for a flat fee that had already been paid he said, "handle the case on your own and hung up on me". Very unprofessional and very rude!!
