I had a warrant out for my arrest and I wanted to secure legal services prior to turning myself in. Some of the local offices (including The Brannen Law Office) refused to consider representing me until AFTER I turned myself in. Other lawyers, (such as "Harvey" from Edenfield, Cox, & Bruce) didn't... even bother to respond to my email to officially decline services. When I called Hube, my experience completely different. He told me that he would be happy to accept my case and told me of the fee he'd be charging. He then called my probation officer to the get the details of my warrant (which had technically expired). He did the latter before I officially agreed to have him represent me. In the end Hube worked out a deal that I considered fair. However, I think the process could have gone smoother if he ad additional staff to assist in research. For example, it took him a while to arrive at the conclusion that the toll (pause) on my probation was valid even though an internet search could reveal that an sworn affidavit was all that was necessary to validate it (and the face of the warrant showed no reason to not count as a sworn affidavit). Clients want speedy answers so they can know that work is being done and so they can (ideally) form realistic expectations. If an attorney is too swamped with clients to demonstrate the results of their research after a certain, period, it looks as if they haven't been working at all. Luckily, he charged a fixed fee, so there was no need for me to have to worry about matching his work to this billable hours. That said, he is not cheap, so one expects a certain return given amount of money exchanged. The end result was to my liking, but the process, as I said before, could have been smoother. He did react to my concerns by corresponding via email with a relatively quick response time. My advice to anyone needed legal representation in Bulloch County is to choose Hube (if you have the money) or someone outside of Bulloch County. You don't need lawyers who have become complacent in drive to secure new clients; such complacency will likely correlate to how hard they will fight for you after the papers have been signed.

Hired this attorney after hearing how aggressive and how he was all about beating cases. After being arrested on a charge that has mandatory minimums of 5 years.(nothing involving any victims) I sent the entire payment being I was incarcerated . After my acting "POA" went and dropped off the check..i...t then took approximately a week or two ..after calling his office over and over to get this man to even pay me a 10 min visit. When he DID come..he introduced himself ..and immediately INSTRUCTED ME to have the calls stopped . And then..in his words.."before we can discuss your case ..we need to take care of my money first" .he had my check paperclipoed to the inside of a folder ..and would not even speak until I signed the check .Then it was false promises and how I'd "walk" "they don't have a leg to stand on" I never saw him again or spoke to the guy until the morning of a revocation hearing. 34 days later. I remembered what my old friend (a great attorney that passed away) mentioned once. "It's not what we know, it's what we CAN PROVE WE KNOW"..I produced evidence that beat the charge ..he did nothing but hand it to the judge ..one conversation and 34 days in hell cost me $3,000 .He sells himself well. False promises ..to get that only thing that matters . Then it's goodbye. I didn't need the guy. .I did the work myself from a jail cell ..and built my own defense. This man was the worst attorney I've ever been misled about or met. My advice to anyone considering hiring Mr. Hube? Use the Public OFFENDER..he will do a better job .Either that ..or pack ya bags my friend. You're about to take a trip..
