Katie Alice Hingerty

Katie Alice Hingerty created a lot of heartache and headache for my family. Ms. Hingerty was extremely irresponsible while dealing with a criminal case as she missed several court dates and was overall unresponsive to calls. She comes across as a nice person, but can be sweetly condescending and did ...not do a good job representing this criminal matter. She does not explain potentials and possible outcomes well. She vacillates between being extremely aggressive in her approach just to be a no show on court dates, dragging out a case for months that could have been very simple just to work around a schedule of her liking. She landed the case on probation while saying the case will be dismissed. I’m writing this in good faith, I do not want anyone else to end up with the outcome that I did. She will bill aggressively and to this date, I do not have all of my paperwork. Even the judge in the matter was very frustrated with her and made notes in case files about her absences and overall behavior. The judge asked why I didn’t just represent myself after she no showed twice. I was offered a decent deal and when she finally answered the phone while I’m in court without her, Katie said don’t take it. She won't even let you know she won't be in court. Now the charge is on the internet and had it been handled well, it wouldn’t have received any attention. Please believe this review. It’s over for me, reputation to be rebuilt, but it doesn’t have to be for you if you’re considering legal counsel. Georgia is a very cruel state to the accused and I’m truly concerned about anyone engaging her as their attorney, even for simple, non violent matters. I would be terrified to think of what could happen to someone charged with something very serious considering her inept representation of me. Please, please look elsewhere and find someone responsible that won’t invalidate and gaslight the legitimacy of her stand ups and reckless actions. I’m finally at peace with the situation but must do my part to inform the public. I’m also not interested in a response from her saying this is fake and she has no idea about this. This is a true review, I would not lie publicly about an attorney, I just feel like I have to let the public please know.
