I am client focused and strive to get the best results possible for all of my clients, be it through negotiating a settlement with opposing counsel, mediation or when appropriate in a courtroom.
I have tried numerous contested custody cases and have an extremely high success rate. When a client retains me in a contested custody case I am very frank with them in letting them know up front that I take the custody of their children very seriously and will not represent them it they are merely using the threat of custody to secure a more favorable financial settlement from their spouse.
I feel it is very important for the client and the lawyer to have a close working relationship. My clients always receive my cell phone number and are welcomed to call me on my cell phone. In the office I answer my own phone as I feel that adds a personal touch to someone that is going through a very difficult time in their life. I have been through this process myself and understand the client from their perspective as well as that of their attorney.
I think it is important for the client and lawyer to have a good working relationship so that their is mutual trust. I will always work for what is in my client's best interest and expect and demand that my clients are always truthfull with me. I do not want to hear a fact about my client for the first time when they are on the witness stand being cross examined by opposing counsel. It is much easier to deal with prior bad conduct by a client if I know about it before opposing counsel.

avoid this attorney at all costs
I recommend that everyone avoid this attorney at all costs as I believe his performance to be terrible. I initially hired Blake Halberg in 09/16 to modify my divorce decree with the primary goal of downward modification or elimination of alimony and several other modifications such as a more amicabl...
Unfortunately, this client claimed to have evidence that would support his claim. When I asked him to provide the emails that he claimed to have they were non existent. When I met with him to discuss this matter in my office he brought his fiancé whom spoke for him and constantly interrupted me when I attempted to explain his situation. Had he provided me with the evidence he claimed to possess his case would have been resolved in his favor.

Highly Recommend!
Mr. Halberg recently represented me in my contested divorce case. After 16 years of marriage it was a complicated process and it involved my 3 children. Blake was aggressive on my behalf and showed a genuine, caring concern for my children and their best interest. He was always available to answer...
"Blake served as the Guardian Ad Litem in a particularly challenging case where I was representing one set of parents. Blake was always responsive, thoughtful, creative, and professional during the process. I highly recommend him."
"I highly endorse this lawyer. Blake is an experienced, capable, pragmatic, professional lawyer and his clients are very well served with his services. He truly cares about his clients. He resolves his cases efficiently."
"I've known Blake for many years, and have seen the effort he puts into each case. We have actually worked on cases together as co-counsel, and I was always impressed and happy with his work and results."
"I endorse this lawyer. Blake is an excellent family lawyer! He's extremely knowledgable about the law, truly cares about his clients, and has great people skills. Although he's quite capable in the courtroom, Blake is "settlement friendly" and regularly pursues cost-effective, non-adversarial ways to resolve family law matters. I recommend him without hesitation."
