Before I hired Leigh and her firm, I interviewed a couple of other lawyers. Lucky for me that one of my best friends recommended Leigh. She was kind and understanding and helped me understand what I should expect throughout the process. By my own choice, I slowed the divorce down and it took app...rox two years. Leigh's attention to detail and memory of my situation continued to amaze me. Through the entire process, I was aware and felt prepared to make decisions before they came up. Lehigh and her entire staff are great communicators. That helped alleviate the stressful situations that inevitably come up during a divorce. I would highly recommend her to anyone that needs a divorce lawyer.

When I was in search of a divorce attorney, I asked our corporate attorney for a recommendation. He had recently divorced and highly recommend his ex-wife’s attorney. He said she was fair, intelligent and one of the best attorney’s he’s worked with. That’s when I contacted Leigh! Leigh "defended" me in a divorce proceeding at her previous firm. The plaintiff's attorney, not Leigh, was in full control and during the process we did nothing but play defense during the entire proceeding. Week to week, month to month, the process dragged on and Leigh and her paralegal spent lots ...of my money responding to demands and requests made by the plaintiff's attorney. We sent 5+ months playing wait and see and eventually got pinned in a corner by the Fulton County Court System. During that entire time, nothing to advance my position in the divorce happened other than calls with the other attorney and paper pushing, I managed to spend $25k with Leigh alone. Ironically, because I was the only sole support for my family, I too was paying for the Plaintiff's attorney's and was aware that the Plaintiff's attorney billings we 75% of what I was spending with Leigh. If her paralegal is the same one that she carried with her from her old firm, run away twice as fast. Her paralegal made the best and prettiest document files but was slow and collectively, they really ran up the clock. Net net, it took way too much time to get to closure, I gave away way more in alimony and assets than I should have and my legal fees were ridiculously high (even after the credit I was given from the firm). Settling was the only way to end the divorce and eliminate the bleeding that would have ensued had I opted to take my chances in court. On more than several occasions, I considered changing counsel but felt that I was in too deep and too close to the end to start all over again. If you want an expensive and protracted divorce. Leigh is your girl. This was not one of those "you get what you pay for experiences".

Leigh represented me in my divorce case which was finalized in early 2015. I was somewhat clueless going into the divorce process and got referred to Leigh by an acquaintance that spoke highly of her. I basically 'cold called' her to set up an appointment to meet her & discuss my situation. It was a ...great move on my part. From the outset, I felt completely comfortable w/ her & her way of doing things; this was very important me as I was going into a process where I was extremely uncomfortable. She & her staff were professional, responsive, competent and really provided mental comfort throughout the process. While protecting my interests, she worked well w/ my ex-wife's attorney allowing us to come to a conclusion that I thought was fair for both parties. To me, that's what I wanted and she did a fantastic job at what I considered to be a very fair cost. My experience w/ Leigh was great & I would highly recommend her to anyone.
