Jeffrey Dean Segal

Jeff Segal has been practicing estate planning and corporate law in Atlanta since 1978.  He began his legal career with the law firm of Altman, Kritzer & Levick, P.C., becoming a partner in 1983.  In 1984, he became a founding partner of Silfen, Segal & Mills, P.C.  After 25 years there, he formed The Segal Law Firm, P.C.

Jeff received his law degree with high honors from the University of Florida in 1978.  While at Florida, he was Executive Editor of the University of Florida Law Review and published an article on the priority conflicts between UCC security interests and Florida’s statutory liens.  He was also an instructor in Legal Research.  

He received his undergraduate degree in 1975 from Vanderbilt University,cum laude.  He had an interdisciplinary major, specializing in economics.  He spent much of his free time as a sportscaster for the campus radio station WRVU. 

The majority of Jeff's law practice is devoted to estate planning, corporate planning and corporate transactions.  He is a frequent speaker at seminars on estate planning and is a member of the Atlanta Estate Planning Council and the Estate Planning Council of North Georgia. Jeff has maintained an AV rating (the highest rating) with Martindale-Hubbell for more than 25 years and was recently named as one of Georgia's Top Rated Lawyers by LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell.

Jeff has been married to his wife Karen since 1981.  They have two adult children, Kevin and Lindy.  Jeff’s favorite pastime is coaching youth baseball.
