Let's start with how amazing it feels to know that your lawyer will pick up your call in a heartbeat. I've had Fortas by my side for 11 years. Not saying I get in trouble with traffic citations all the time but if I did he's always fought my battles. I had about four citations in the last 11 years an...d never have I ever stressed once. He won all my cases and he makes sure I never worry. I don't know any other lawyer but him because he will get the job done. He gives you his personal line, he calls to check on how you're feeling, and he's great when it comes to payments for his service. He's not a lawyer to me he's family, thank you for everything Scott!

I have been hiring Scott as my attorney since about 2008. I got a shining referral from a friend after I got my first speeding ticket. I ended up having a streak of speeding tickets spanning over 2-3 years, and Scott took care of every single one for me with little to no participation on my end. He s...aved me from losing my license time and time again. I have become older and a bit more intelligent when it comes to driving, but any time one of my friends gets in any kind of traffic related trouble, I have sent them to Scott, and he has taken care of all of them. He is very reasonably priced and always does right by his clients, whether it be him representing you or pointing you in the right direction to make sure you come out on top in your case. He is extremely responsive as well and has consulted me on numerous tickets as to whether I would need a lawyer or not, and informing me of the impact of said tickets. Currently on felony probation. Received a misdemeanor traffic charge. Mr. Fortas was able to reduce the charge to non-reporting traffic citation to the DDS so it would not affect my upcoming insurance rate renewal. And made sure that my probation which is in the same county did not know of the incide...nt. I am very grateful because going into the that court house I received a lot of very nasty faces. But once he entered and stood for my representation I knew I was going to be alright. I walked out free man and thank God for him.

Hired Eric Scott Fortas to represent me for a traffic violation. After a few months, I was notified that everything was taken care of and the total fine would be $600. At that time, Fortas requested I send a Cashier's Check to his office so that he could arrange the payment. I did as he requested an...d went about my day. Two weeks later, I was notified that his office had misplaced the Cashier's Check, and that I had 24 hours to take a cash payment of $600 to Meriwether Courthouse (which was over 100 miles from my residence) or my license would be suspended. I asked if his office could assist me in the matter, as I had work the following day. I was told by Eric Scott Fortas that he could not help me, and I would have to go make the payment on my own. So I call out of work the next day, drive the 200+ mile round trip to make my cash payment (still have the receipt) and go about my life. Fast forward three months later to New Year's Eve. Where I was pulled over for possible window tint violation, and was arrested due to driving on a suspended license. After finally being bonded out, I immediately contacted Fortas Law Group to make them aware of the situation. I was offered an apology, and nothing more. No reimbursement of time or bond, but worst of all, no assistance in getting this issue removed from my record. It is now permanently shown on background checks and increases the insurance premium of my entire family. I would say Fortas Law Group is negligent at best. This lawyer and his office do not care about the people, rather would let his client get wrongfully arrested and damage their permanent record just so he could save some time. This review may be a couple years late, but after finishing my graduate program in finance, and being denied for a position due to a wrongful arrest. I cannot help but be upset and disappointed at what has transpired from putting my trust in them. No honor, no responsibility, and definitely no accountability.
