I hired Larry because he said he became a lawyer to make people happy. He is somewhat of a devil's advocate, and this may be a challenge for you if you just want somebody to vent about your ex. I was defending a custody case and often it seemed to me we were doing too much prep because I thought I... had a slam dunk case. He told me right away that the process is not predictable and that judges often rule in unexpected ways. He was right, during the court case the opposing (big law firm) lawyer put up an emotional case and at times I was even wondering if I could lose.
