David Rubin is a compassionate yet relentless attorney who brings more than a decade of experience advocating for injured workers across Georgia. Licensed to practice law since 2012, he focuses his practice exclusively on workers’ compensation, guiding clients through complex claims with precision and determination. David joined Montlick in 2023, drawn to the firm’s long-standing commitment to integrity, excellence, and helping people through some of life’s most challenging moments.
Before joining Montlick, David worked at both big and small firms gaining extensive litigation experience handling all types of personal injury and workers’ compensation cases. He litigated and managed cases through every stage of the legal process – including handling depositions, mediations, and hearings – and previously managed a workers’ compensation department, leading teams and advocating before administrative law judges. This broad experience shaped his understanding of how workplace injuries affect not just an individual, but entire families. Today, he uses that perspective to challenge insurers’ attempts to minimize or deny legitimate claims and David takes pride in standing up for injured workers whose voices might otherwise go unheard and ensuring their rights are fully protected under Georgia law.
David earned his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida, in 2011, where he also completed a judicial internship with the 11th Judicial Circuit in Miami-Dade County. That early courtroom exposure sharpened his advocacy skills and reinforced his commitment to helping others. Before law school, he graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, where he cultivated the discipline, analytical thinking, and drive that continue to guide his work as an attorney.
With a deeply rooted passion for solving problems and helping others in their time of need, David finds great joy in the opportunity to serve and fight for his clients every day. Over his career, he has helped hundreds of injured workers across Georgia secure access to medical care and has fought to get them the compensation they deserve. His older brother – also an attorney at Montlick for over 25 years – inspired his own path into the profession. Guided by his personal motto, ‘You can do hard things,’ David approaches every case with resilience, perseverance, and attention to detail, ensuring the best financial and medical outcome for his clients.
Clients appreciate David’s calm demeanor, transparency, and clear communication throughout the legal process. He takes time to explain every step, ensuring that his clients understand their rights, options, and the path ahead. Colleagues describe him as thoughtful, meticulous, and principled – an attorney who values integrity as much as results.
David’s professionalism and results have earned recognition from his peers and within the legal community. In both 2025 and 2026, he was selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® for Workers’ Compensation Law, an honor that reflects respect for his integrity, skill, and dedication to client advocacy.
A native of Charleston, South Carolina, David has called the Atlanta area home since 2011. He lives in Sandy Springs with his wife, Lisa, and their two sons and cherishes spending time with his family. A Division 1 tennis recruit, David remains an avid tennis player and competitor in both USTA and ALTA leagues. The same discipline, mental toughness, and competitive drive required to reach that level of athletics now fuel his approach to the practice of law – focused, strategic, and unrelenting in pursuit of the best outcomes for his clients.
A strong believer in giving back, David previously volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters, mentoring children and encouraging them to build confidence and pursue their goals – values that continue to define his approach to both life and law. A guiding light in his practice and throughout his life is a favorite lyric “Turns out, not where but who you’re with that really matters.”
