Sara Elizabeth Gheesling

I've had Sara handle a couple of my court cases now and both with very positive results. I hired her for a Cobb county DUI in which I was CLEARLY guilty, and she worked to help get the sentence reduced. She did all of the leg work while I was on a job in VA! She would call weekly or bi-weekly and let... me know what was happening with my case. I ended up getting the minimum sentence, with approval from the judge to receive a work permit, and was immediately able to go back to work. The latest case I had Ms Gheesling work for me on was in Bartow county (over an hour from her office) and was being charged with a felony driving while licence suspended. She did TONS of research and found information that technically didn't allow the state to charge me with a felony... got my sentence reduced to a misdemeanor, AND helped me plea nolo so that it didn't count additional time against my license suspension. My experience with Ms. Gheesling starts almost a year ago. In a not very comfortable situation. I had got a DUI and refused to blow or take a blood test. For those who don't know you go to ALS court where they automatically take your licence away for not blowing or doing a chemical test for a dui sto...p., No attorney, but I did have a case. My friend had got a DUI before me after me and hired Sara and I just happened to be the luckiest man alive and she he happened to be at the ALS on a separate client and my friend actually came with me to my ALS case.. She helped me at least extend the date, by talking to the judge free of charge. That was crutial as I WOULD HAVE AUTOMATICALLY LOST MY LICENCE FOR A YEAR no if and or buts. Well later I decided to hire Ms. Gheesling and from the very start she was straight forward and open about the procedures and the likely outcome. The second ALS the officer didn't show and this was huge. Then we got the video. By no means perfect but more than enough to believe that we might just be able to beat this thing. Time went on and and court date after court date the ball started rolling. It took a great deal of effort and time but eventually we got it to a jury trial. Our defense was very strong and we even went through a large portion of the trial almost to the end. Then the Prosecution offered me a deal I couldn't say no to, although I would have loved to just to see how this whole thing would had ended but I digress. Even with a very strong defense you are still at the mercy of the jury and its not like I had a home run case, it did have its flaws but as mentioned, strong. I sit here typing this after court in which the bond that was paid will cover all the costs of the plea, I keep my license. Hell I didn't even get any points on my driving record (nolo). I think its also very important to mention Sara did not make me take this plea and was very supportive of either root I would have taken and I always felt like I had the upper hand in trial. Shes very real, understanding, practical, witty, and slightly fierce. Everything you'd want to see in an online dating profile. But shes a lawyer!! In February 2013, I was in a very bad car accident, for which I was at fault. I was badly injured (third degree burns and broken ribs). I was not only charged at fault for the accident, but since I had prescriptions on me that could cause a DUI (clonazepam), I was taken from the hospital and sent str...aight to jail, before my injuries were even fully assessed.
