Lorna Katica has provided pro bono legal services and research support to Safe Water Now, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing safe water in emerging nations. Specifically, Ms. Katica has helped provide legal framework for putting new talent on the ground for our ceramic water filter oper...ations in Arusha, Tanzania. She has drafted and implemented international employment contracts, and has researched, coordinated and drafted public and private grant proposals for SWaN. She also participated in an academic consortium initiative in public health care. During consultation, very personable, knowledgeable and came out feeling she would fight for our rights. Her retainer was substantial in comparison to other attorneys for the same type of case (found out after retained her). Within days, over half of the substantial retainer was exhausted on matters;... we felt were not pertinent to due process. Since over half of the retainer was gone, we were stuck.
