Alejandra Mejia

Alejandra Mejia was born in Bogota, Colombia and grew up in Gwinnett County. She graduated from the University of Georgia magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American and Caribbean Studies. While she attended the University of Georgia, she was able to study abroad at Oxford University where a course in British Common Law sparked her interest in a law career.

Alejandra received her law degree from Emory University School of Law in May 2019. During her time at Emory, Alejandra was involved in various organizations, including the Immigration Law Practice Society and the Latin American Law Student Association. Within the Immigration Law Practice Society, she held the positions of Treasurer and Vice President of the organization. She was also a staff editor of the Journal of Law and Religion.

Before joining John Foy and Associates, Alejandra practiced family law and criminal defense in the metro Atlanta area where she learned the importance of effective advocacy and client communication. With her multiple years litigating and negotiating high conflict cases, she brings a wide range of skills and creative problem solving to obtain the best results for her clients.

In her spare time Alejandra likes to travel, spend time with her family and friends and attend concerts.
